Religious fundamentalists have endeavored to create a divide between God and humanity. Consequently, individuals feel adrift, compelled to view themselves as unworthy and devoid of value unless deemed otherwise through divine blessings. Lost in their search, they turn to prayer and rituals, seeking a deity external to their being—an elusive quest. Meanwhile, organized religions dictate adherence to established rites under threat of eternal condemnation. Yet, we possess free will and intellect, enabling us to make informed choices about our future using common sense. While I refrain from disparaging organized religions, I maintain a respectful dissent towards their interpretations of scripture’s purpose.
